os mudmen resultam da paixão da mãe dos irmãos campbell pela sua escócia natal.
os manos campbell passaram a sua infãncia e adolescência a aprender música escocesa (e até a participarem em concursos mundiais da dita).
mas ao mesmo tempo que passavam horas a aprender gaélico, ouviam com os outros putos o rock das ruas de ontario.
